Volunteer of the month...
This month our volunteer is the wonderful Kelly. Kelly’s daughter was once a registered child with us & amazingly no longer needs the extra support from us but instead of disappearing, Kelly wanted to give something back & joined up to volunteer. She’s hardworking, honest & reliable & this month battled her fears & walked up the O2 to raise money for us. She attends every event she puts her down for & some that she even hasn’t just to provide extra support to the team! Well done Kelly & thank you xx |

Underwear donation
A few weeks ago while having a blood test at Milton Keynes University Hospital I met a lovely HCA, she noticed my Emily’s Star wristband & she explained she normally works on labour Ward & really appreciates the work we do for babies who require the use of the butterfly suite.
She said the only other thing she wishes she had to offer mums would be clean underwear...
Sometimes mums come in for a routine check only to discover their baby has sadly passed away, sometimes with everything going on underwear can become spoilt!
I honestly had never even thought of it!
Today I purchased multiple packets of knickers & socks.
If these are used & needed then we would continue to supply the baby bereavement team with this along with our butterfly toiletry bags & butterfly blankets that we already donate! 💖⭐️💖

May Volunteer of the Month
This month our volunteer of the month is one of our junior volunteers...
Louie
Louie is Emily’s Cousin, he doesn’t live local but often comes up at weekends to see Nanny & Grampy & always jumps at the chance to help at events.
This month, he’s helped us out at Bingo, he collected up all the cards from our game, helped carry in boxes & helped to move around chairs!
He then came to the galleon on Monday & helped me run the tombola, he was excellent at working out all the maths & how many tickets each person should get, then was awesome at finding the winning prizes too!
At 9 years old you truly are an awesome little dude, well done Louie & thank you for your help 💙💙

Thift Farm Stay & Play
29th May we took our registered families to Thrift Farm as a part of our regularly monthly session we provide for them.
These sessions are crucial for our families. They provide support for them and it’s a chance for all our families to be together. Here’s an adorable boy after enjoying the farm cuddling a little lamb. Thank you for all our supporters far and wide for helping us continue to keep these sessions going. |
Feedback moved to online...
In every Emily's Gift Neonatal box we send out, we include a questionnaire for parents to complete, we understand that having a new born baby is a stressful time with the added worry of your baby being in a neonatal unit however we were saddened to see the figures so low of feedback sent back, after speaking to parents & trustees we decided to also add the questionnaire online so parents can simply spend 2 minutes completing it online rather than sending it back in the post! We hope this will help us to ensure our boxes have in them exactly what parents need.
Galleon Fun Day
Being the chosen charity of The Galleon in Wolverton we were thrilled to be part of the annual bank holiday fun day, we raised an amazing £161.80 on our tombola alone!
