The Lewis Twins

My boy/girl twins were born at 32 weeks due to growth issues and spent their first 6 weeks of life in the neonatal unit at Southend Hospital. Being born that early we had no clothes for premature babies and no time to search online and order something. One day when sitting in the parents kitchen I saw a leaflet for Emily's Star. Touched by her story I went online to find out more about the charity. I was amazed to see the generosity of the bundles that were sent so ordered one for each twin.

It was such a joy to receive them and I was so excited to open the parcels that were full of amazing and useful pieces. When they were ready to start wearing clothes, we used the vests and baby grows along with the squares that we would use to swap our scents with.

Your charity brought me joy when I was feeling down and overwhelmed and helped us immensely with being able to clothe our twins until we had time to get some more preemie clothes.

Unfortunately I don't have a picture of them wearing one of your clothes but I've attached a couple of pictures of them in the neonatal unit, along with one of them from today 16th September 2022.

Thanks for all that you do and supporting my twins, Hazel and Oliver.
